FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

It’s preferred but not required. 90% of our guests are typically based in North America, and the time zones make it difficult to schedule interviews.

If you would like health insurance, you will need to find coverage yourself, but TIP will reimburse you for it. There are no retirement benefits, but there are many other non-traditional benefits for working with TIP.

No, you are considered a “freelancer” — the same as everyone else on the team.

According to FlexJobs.com, “essentially, a freelance job is one where a person works for themselves, rather than for a company. While freelancers take on contract work for companies and organizations, they are ultimately self-employed.

Freelancers are responsible for all sorts of things that traditional employees are not, such as setting their work hours, keeping track of time spent on different projects, billing clients, and paying their own employment and business taxes. Freelancers are not considered ‘employees’ by the companies they work for, but rather ‘contractors.’”

Patrick and Kyle will host their separate episodes in the same feed as you. Robert will transition out of his role as host and into a new one with TIP.
